One Semester Left!

January 30th, 2008

Wow. I last updated in October. I’m really out of this blogging thing, aren’t I?

I remember the days of constant updates and thirty-odd comments per entry.

Anyway, just in case anyone actually reads this blog - I’m graduating at the end of the semester! w00t~

The obligatory list of classes I’m taking:
- Philosophy 131, Philosophy of Language
- Journalism 141, Society and Mass Media
- Comp Sci 182, The Neural Basis of Thought and Language
- Information 190, Virtual Communities
- Comp Sci 198, Advanced Digital Photography Decal

^o^

Whoops.

October 1st, 2007

I’m hosting some stuff for work (C’mon, I’m paying for the space + bw, I might as well do something with it) so I went to read over my blog entries to make sure I wasn’t saying something uber silly/embarrassing and I realized that I never fixed my layout.

Whoops. I r lazy. I don’t even remember which file that sidebar over there is in.

I’ll do it someday. XD
In the meantime, school is evil. >.<;

& Thom says I get a gold star for changing dates. w00t.

Lost Elephant

September 20th, 2007

A couple weeks ago, walking out of the student store I saw a poster - “LOST ELEPHANT” and I was curious (after seeing a cow for sale on Craigslist, I thought it might be rather funny to find an elephant walking around Berkeley lost). It was a $500 reward for a lost stuffed animal that had “been in the family for 21 years,” said the poster.

Walking down Sproul today, I saw the same poster. I have a tendency to take posters I like - and I thought of taking this one, because it’s kind of funny and kind of cute. Before I took it, it occurred to me that the person who found the elephant may never get to return it if I took the poster… So I didn’t.

hello again!

July 11th, 2007

Once again, I stopped updating. Somehow, blogging has lots its appeal.

Anyway, I keep meaning to update/revamp this site, but I get caught up in other things… Namely:
1. Being at my internship! Harrr. I’m interning for a law firm and writing things. Its interesting, but certain aspects make my brain feel tired. And its an hour drive each way every morning, so that’s extra tiring. (And boring)
2. Playing Gaia the game that isn’t really a game, more of a giant forum
3. Working on campus (though time here is usually spent doing #1 or #2)
4. Drawing! I got a Wacom tablet last semester and I’ve been attempting to learn to draw. I’m still pretty bad, so I’m not displaying any of that anytime soon.

I need to fix this silly layout - it shows up wrong on IE and Safari still, there’s that little line under “sneaky.” Grawr. Or maybe create a new layout. We shall seeee~

Back to work now!

Sleeping

May 8th, 2007

I’m talking to someone from one of my classes right now and we’re talking about my rather… Irregular sleep schedule. Then I realized that my sleep schedule IS pretty weird.

My average weekday bedtime is at about 2… Weekends it at about 4. Days when there’s homework due the next day its somewhere between 3 and 5… And its not like I wake up late. I’m generally up by 8:30 at the latest. Its not a horrible sleep schedule, its just weird. ^^;;

Oh well. Its finals time! Ling final due tomorrow (what I’m doing now). Computational Modeling + Lab Paper due on Friday. UI final on Saturday morning at EIGHT (guh. That involves waking up at six to have my brain awake) and Neuro on Monday.

Then home I go~

Oh the lack of updates…

April 30th, 2007

So as a couple people have pointed out, I never update this. And its true!

Life has been really, really, realllllly busy (yes, it deserves that many “really”s). Between school, work (Cafe), RAing and {m} its been really busy. In two weeks time, however, I will be DONE.

{m}reception was last saturday. It was amazing. I’ll post pictures sometime (if I ever update again). A photographer drove up from LA to display her work. A spokenword/activist/i’mnottoosurewhattocallhim sat on the Greyhound for 30 hours to get to us. A poet drove up from Santa Barbra to read us some poetry… There were others, especially many people from Cal and the bay area. Naia was rather full… It was awesome.

Between the seriousness (though it didn’t feel that way) of the performers, I tried lots of things on Naia’s menu - the biscotti, the semi gelato, the normal gelato and the steamed gelato.

In other news, I got a 4×5 wacom tablet a few weeks ago, so I’ve been (trying to) draw lately. It’s actually come in handy for my CS 160 project. Yay.

…and with that, I am off to work on a take home final.

P.S. I promise to do something with this site once summer comes. And fix this layout, it apparently only looks normal on Firefox on PCs. >3

Demo!

Showing nathan wordpress. isn’t it cool? :D

Banana Chips!

February 22nd, 2007

I’m excited to have a website again… I’m trying to decide on what to do next. These are the options so far:
1. More wordpress layouts made with minimal photoshop and lots of divs (I have two images on this one, the “un” and the “sneaky” and only because I couldn’t get the fonts bigger than about 40px… Is that a quirk of HTML?)
2. More layouts but spiffy ones with effects and shiny buttons and colors and such. Web 2.0, I guess?
3. Write a simple blog. Probably the most educational?

Now if only people made three-sided dice…

Spamming myself

February 21st, 2007

I’m spamming myself so I can poke at my template and make sure its cool with more than one post… ^^;;

This is a sample blockquote. It should be blocky! Block block block. I need more filler text. Oh well, lets see if this is enough to at least get to two lines…. Otherwise its not really a block quote. Its like a one line with another line on the side.

Hello Internet!

February 21st, 2007

I’m alive again! I’m on Dreamhost now and they’re awesome so far. (I have shell access! *does a happy dance*)

So, I’m in the process of fixing things up and seeing what goes where so things might be wonky for a bit. Sorry!
